Post Graduate degree ทางแพทย์ในสหราชอาณาจักร

การเรียนแพทย์ในสหราชอาณาจักรจะเริ่มหลังจากจบหลักสูตรหนึ่งหลักสูตรใดจาก A Level หรือ IB หรือ Foundation in Medicine และมีผลสอบ UKCAT หรือ BMAT ซึ่งขึ้นอยู่กับมหาวิทยาลัยที่ต้องการสมัครว่า ต้องการคะแนนสอบ UKCAT หรือ BMAT เท่าไร เพื่อเข้าศึกษาหลักสูตรปริญญาตรี หลักสูตรปริญญาตรีแพทยศาสตร์ที่สหราชอาณาจักรจะใช้เวลาในการเรียนนานประมาณ 5-6 ปี หลังจากนั้นจะเป็นแพทย์ฝึกหัดอีกประมาณ 2 ปี แล้วเข้าไปเรียนต่อหลักสูตรที่จะเน้นความเชี่ยวชาญในหลักสูตรนั้นๆ หลักสูตรที่เน้นความเชี่ยวชาญนี้จะใช้ระยะเวลาในการศึกษาแตกต่างกันแล้วแต่สาขาวิชาที่ต้องการฝึกความชำนาญมีตั้งแต่ 3-8 ปี
